Child friendly
Groom and cuddle our friendly farm animals, take a riding trek or lesson. Fun farm activities for children 4 years and over.
Visit our traditional farm and stables in Valdres; the heart of Norway. Spend a day on our farm getting to meet all of our animals. They will be happy to see you and enjoy all the cuddles, petting, and attention.
You will be taught about the different animals, which is both fun and educational.
An activity for the whole family. Children can also participate alone, without the supervision of parents.
This is a great activity for all weather. In the case of bad weather, activities will be held indoors, in our spacious, heated indoor riding facility.

Tour program
Brush our friendly horses, cuddle with the bunny rabbits, or play with our curious goats. Learn more about cows, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs. Perhaps you’ll make a new best friend! Participants also get to ride on our child-friendly horses.
Further information
We offer both a 4 hour and a 6 hour day camp.
The 4 hours camp starts in the morning or in the afternoon. During the camp you get plenty of time to spend together with all our farm animals, learn to groom the ponies, take part in the daily care and feeding routines of the animals, and go for a 2 hour horse riding trek. Warm drinks and light snacks are included. Feel free to bring your own cold drinks, and snacks.
The 6 hours camp starts in the morning. During the camp you get plenty of time to spend together with all our farm animals, learn to groom the ponies, take part in the daily care and feeding routines of the animals, and go for a 4 hour horse riding trek. Warm drinks and light snacks are included. Feel free to bring your own cold drinks, and snacks.

If you want to share this experience with your family or friends, but unsure whether riding is for you, instead of riding you can join the trip by foot, and take part in the other activities as normal.
Good to know
Our experienced guide will give your child a basic introduction on how to start, stop and steer the horse, before heading out on the trip.
Older children and/or those with some experience and adults, can ride alone. However young children and inexperienced riders will have someone to lead their horse. This can be either a trek assistant or a parent. Parents will get an introduction on how to lead the horse safely. If you want to ride yourself but would like one of our trek assistants to lead your child’s horse, please remember to book this in advance.

If you are joining the 6 hours day camp please bring with you something to eat and drink. For example, sausages to grill on the fire, snack bars, cold drinks, cocoa mix and a cup.
