Welcome to riding camp at Myhre Gård

– Join a riding camp surrounded by fresh mountain air and beautiful nature –

We arrange weekly riding camp and riding camp weekend – in all holidays.

The summer holidays, the autumn holidays, the winter holidays and the Easter holidays.

 

Who is suitable for our riding camps for:

We have ordinary riding camps that are suitable for children aged 7-16 years.

Youth camp that has a 13 year age limit and is recommended for those aged 13 to 18 years.

At these camps you can participate regardless of prior knowledge of horses and riding, or riding skills. Here, all participants are divided into groups according to level. So that everyone continues to work from what they can.

We also have our own riding camp for those who want to develop in jumping. Here you have to be easily trained to be a trained rider to participate. You must be able to master all gaits on track and in terrain. As well as experience from and masters jumping a course of 60 cm.

What you get to experience:

We have 2 riding sessions every day. The teaching will vary between jumping, dressage, field trips and horseback riding in the forest. At the summer and autumn holiday camp, we spend a day down on the field trip track. Here, everyone can try to jump natural obstacles. The degree of difficulty is determined by the riders.

The participants get to participate in and learn about stable work, feeding, bushing / grooming of the horses. In the evening we have various social activities such as getting to know play, cleaning competition, football, card games etc.

 

Practical information:

There is always an adult responsible for the activities at the camp.

We have our own kiosk on the farm, so bring pocket money. Recommended limit is NOK 200.

We have horses / ponies in different sizes and breeds. Something for every rider.

It is possible to bring your own horse to all the riding camps with us. We have two stables with room for 24 horses, laundry room, saddle room and paddocks. Included in the price is box space, paddock and tile. Roughage can be purchased as a supplement to the price. You must bring your own power feed.

The riding camps include:

* Accommodation * 4 meals every day (arrival day 1 and departure day 2) * 9 riding sessions * a day on the field trip * theory * activities * riding camp competition

Arrival Sunday at 17 and departure Friday at 15. (For the camps that start on Sundays)

Arrival Friday at 19 and departure Wednesday at 17. (For the week’s camps starting Fridays)

Arrival Friday at 19 and departure Sunday at 17. (For riding camp weekend)

The children / young people spend the night in cabins, right next to the riding hall. Right next door they have a shower, toilet, bathroom, wardrobe, drying room, kitchen and living room. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper are served here.

Who can join

This tour is for all ages. From 4 years old to adults. The tours are set up in groups according to rider experience level.
